Remedial Massage is the manipulation of soft tissues (muscle, tendons, ligaments, fascia) with the intent of restoring them back to normal function. This can be perceived by the client as alleviation of pain, soreness, tension, or improvement in biomechanical movement.

During a Remedial Massage session, the therapist will conduct a health history, assess your presenting complaint before and after the session to determine the effectiveness of the treatment and when appropriate, provide self-care advice. If necessary, the therapist can discuss treatment plans for future sessions.

Remedial Massage is used to treat a wide variety of musculoskeletal conditions and the qualified therapist is well equipped to treat any region of the body. These include whole back, glutes, hamstring calves, thighs, front leg, adductors, feet, whole arms, hands, chest, abdomen, head, neck and face.

General musculoskeletal conditions include but are not limited to soft tissue related pain, sports, or work-related injuries especially due to repeated habits or sudden twitch injury, misalignments in posture and symptoms from chronic diseases/illnesses. These symptoms can include restricted joint mobility, inhibited performance or decreased bodily functions (short breath, fatigue, numbness, weakness).
